A weekly review that fits a Thursday evening
Trading plan development fails quietly when the review ritual is longer than the life you have after work.
Australian traders juggling day jobs need reviews that finish before dinner cools. Our intensive ends with a checklist designed for forty-five minutes: count trades, tag rule breaks, screenshot one best and one worst, rewrite a single sentence in the plan if needed.
We discourage rebuilding the whole document every Sunday. Plans drift when they are rewritten under emotion. Technical analysis training treats the weekly pass as maintenance — oil the hinges, do not rebuild the door.
A practical sequence we use:
- Export fills or journal rows for the week
- Mark each trade as rule-aligned or rule-broken (binary, no debate)
- Note one structure lesson from the broken trades
- Decide whether any rule text must change; if yes, change one rule only
Bring that sheet to your next session. Coaches would rather see a messy honest review than a colourful dashboard with no decisions attached.
